If you love eating bread, I believe you will think about buying a bread maker (or Home Bakery in Japan ^^).
It’s very convenient, because you don’t have to knead the bread or even own the oven to enjoy freshly baked bread at home.
I received Panasonic automatic bread maker last month, and have so much fun testing it.
When using bread maker, one important thing is the size of the bread, you can’t use more than 300g of flour for this Panasonic automatic bread maker (SD-P104) as too much of the ingredients means different baking time that’s not suitable for this machine.
The Panasonic automatic bread maker comes with measuring cup and measuring spoon, and operating instructions (with recipes), so you don’t have to worry about the bread recipe that you need for this bread maker.
There are 13 menus in this machine, 8 for making different kinds of bread, 2 for making dough (bread and pizza dough), 1 for making Dumpling skin dough, 1 for baking cake and the last one is making Nama chocolate (interesting ^^). You can find all of the recipes in the operating instructions.
At Panasonic cooking lab, we had a chance to try different recipes, using bread maker for making simple white bread, cake and kneading dough ^^, (you can see the photos here).
I tried different menu like quick bread, soft bread, and even baking cake (will show you the recipe next time). The timer menu is convenient for people who want to have freshly baked bread in the morning, you only need to put all the ingredients into the bread maker and set the finished time that you want, and go to sleep, hehe.
Anyway, from many menus in this bread maker, I love this one “Pineapple bread/Stuffed bread menu 8” as you can create different bread from the bread maker without using oven ^^. The bread maker will make the dough for you, when the dough ready you can use your imagination to crate fabulous bread to suit your taste. Add the flavour and ingredients that you like, then put the prepared dough back into the bread maker and it will do the rest of the job for you.
* The difference between using bread machine and hand knead
When making bread with bread machine, you don’t need to learn the trick and technique for making good bread. Knead by hand is not hard if you make it often, but for some people, it’s not easy. Many people use too much flour to prevent the dough to stick thieir hands and end up with hard texture bread, or bad texture because the kneading process is not enough.
With bread machine you can prevent this problem, you don’t need to knead dough by yourself (or don’t need to learn to do it). The bread machine kneads bread without adding more flour (as the formula is already calculated), and it will knead until the dough is ready. So using bread machine is the right answer for anyone who want good bread without making an effort ^^
This time I make Cinnamon nut buns, one of my favorite bread, I adjust the recipe to create soft bread, that I think everyone will love it too.
