Pancakes |
I often make pancakes and I usually use the same recipe but they always turn out different. My son often asked, “Are they griddle cakes or penny pancakes today?” I really don’t know why they turn out different every time, but not being a morning person could have something to do with it!
Serves 3-4 people
1 ½ cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cups milk
Preheat electric frying pan. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add butter, egg and milk. Whisk until just incorporated. Ladle into the frying pan.
When holes appear, and you think one side may be done, flip and cook 1 or two minutes more. Serve with syrup.
Good morning!
