What’s with the year of rain? As a rookie gardener, trying to grow my own food, I have to have some weather cooperation! I am definitely discouraged, as very little is growing.
In anticipation of summer sunshine…..sometime…..here is a quick and simple Barbecue Sauce recipe. I plan to use it soon…..weather dependent!
Simple Barbecue Sauce
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons mustard powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil over a medium-high heat, lower temperature and simmer 10 minutes.
