Walnut Damper Bread: Easy delicious Soda bread

Actually I wanted to make only chocolate recipe lately, but the problem is other family member can’t stand that, haha.

I have to stay away from chocolate for once in a while. But I didn’t stay away from the kitchen ^^, and today I made a simple bread that everyone can enjoy. Damper is one kind of traditional Australian soda bread that usually baked in the coals of a campfire or in a camp oven, but it can be bake in house oven too.
As it’s a kind of soda bread, it’s quick (no need to wait for the yeast to rise), and by using both whole wheat and cake flour, you don’t have to be afraid that the bread will be tough (cake flour is low in gluten). Serve it as a side or by itself with load of butter is the best way to enjoy this chewy delicious bread.
